The Potomac Skye Terrier Club
The mission of the Potomac Skye Terrier Club (PSTC) is to preserve and promote interest in the Skye Terrier in the Middle Atlantic region of the United States. In order to fulfill this mission, the club annually holds a specialty show in conjunction with the Cherry Blossom dog show circuit. The club also sponsors handling clinics, educational seminars, meetings, and social gatherings for members. The The Potomac Skye Terrier Club was formed in the late 1950's by
a group of Skye Terrier enthusiasts in the Washington, D.C. area. The early
years were not very active for this small breed club. However, in the late
1960's, there was revived interest in the club and in 1969, the club sought
approval from the American Kennel Club to offer its own regional specialty show.
In 1974, the club held its first specialty show in April at the Old Dominion KC
show. 2005 Officers
